24/12/2025

Students at the 63rd Gymnasium in Athens participated in an interactive sustainability session organised within the GARDEN project, focusing on climate action, green cities, sustainable mobility, and responsible everyday choices.

As part of the GARDEN project’s outreach activities, an interactive educational session was delivered to students at the 63rd Gymnasium in Athens, led by experts from the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES).

The session explored key sustainability topics, including climate change, urban resilience, green mobility, sustainable food systems, and the environmental impact of daily behaviour. Through guided discussion, practical examples, and open dialogue, students were encouraged to critically reflect on how individual and collective choices influence environmental outcomes.

The high level of engagement demonstrated strong curiosity, analytical thinking, and openness to sustainability-driven change. Students actively contributed with questions and ideas, showing interest in how cities can become more liveable, resource-efficient, and climate-resilient.

By engaging young learners early, GARDEN strengthens awareness and builds foundational knowledge that supports long-term behavioural change and responsible citizenship.
