The 5th Steering Committee meeting of the GARDEN Interreg Euro-MED project was successfully held on 6–7 November 2025 in Montpellier, France. Hosted by FAB’LIM, the event gathered project partners and stakeholders from across the Mediterranean to evaluate progress, exchange insights, and plan upcoming activities.
The two-day meeting featured field visits to key pilot sites, including social and solidarity initiatives such as Jardins de Cocagne, Biocoop, and the Comptoir des Compagnons. Participants engaged in a forum theatre session focused on food solidarity logistics and visited local producers to better understand short food supply chains in practice.
The working sessions included updates on pilot site construction, logistics challenges, project evaluation, and upcoming tasks related to work packages WP2, WP3, and WP4. Special attention was given to budget review and future steps in collaboration with the Joint Secretariat.
The meeting concluded with a visit to the Food Hub’s producers’ market, reinforcing the project’s commitment to supporting sustainable and inclusive local food systems across the Mediterranean region.
